(Inside: Want to impress the work at home mom in your life this Christmas? Grab her one of these 5 practical gifts for work at home moms, and she’ll be thrilled!)
Last year, my mom and dad bought me a chair. I was SO excited.
I mean, it kind of sounds lame, right? Who’s that excited for a chair?
Well… I was. And I am. I love my chair.
See, I work from home. I sit in my chair all. day. long.
But really, even more than being excited for my new comfy chair, I was excited that the gift was so thoughtful.
As a work at home mom, lots of people think I just don’t work. But that couldn’t be farther from the truth.
When you acknowledge the work that a work at home mom does, it will be the best gift!
So on top of that acknowledgment, here are 5 practical gifts for work at home moms.
*Note, I was given a Logitech webcam to try out in my business, all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own. Please see my full disclosure for details.
5 Practical Gifts for Work at Home Moms
Each of these gifts will help a work at home mom with her business or her life.
She’ll be super excited to get any of these gifts, believe me!
#1 Personal Development Books
Before I started my own business, I thought personal development books were, well, ridiculous.
I mean, do I really need someone to tell me to go say “I’m a superstar” in the mirror each morning? No. Thanks.
Then I started realizing how much value there is in personal development books!
Whether it’s a book on mindset or a book that tackles a new business skill she’s looking to learn, a personal development book is a great gift for work at home moms!
Here are a few books that are definitely on this Work at Home Mom’s Christmas list!

#2 That Course She’s Been Eyeing
If you talk to any work at home mom you know, I can almost guarantee there’s a course she wants.
There are courses for everything these days.
I’ve got my eye on a few courses on copywriting and Facebook.
Ask your work at home mom friend what courses she’s looking into and grab one for her!
#3 A Few Hours of Childcare
I cannot explain to you how valuable a few hours of childcare will be for a work at home mom.
She’s working her business (or job) in between filling sippy cups, getting the kids back down for their nap, dropping the kids off at soccer, and more.
Taking that off her hands so she can have some peace and quiet to just focus?
#4 All the Tech
The overwhelming majority of work at home moms are working online.
We need our tech.
My iPhone, my MacBook Pro, my iMac, my DSLR camera, etc… It all adds up.
Lately, though, one of the biggest things I’ve been needing is a powerful webcam.
See, I’m a blogger, and lately, video is key.
We have to be doing videos to get anything seen on Facebook, and one of my favorite ways to do that is with Facebook live!
I love doing my Facebook lives with this Logitech Brio WebCam!
I also use it for video conference meetings with my team members in my VA business, and when we move next month we’ll use it for video chatting with friends and family!
#5 Coffee Stuff (Trust me!)
If I had a dollar for every late night I spent trying to figure out how to update that stupid plugin without breaking my site or trying to finish that last blog post before the deadline, I’d have enough money to buy all my own coffee stuff!
The point is, moms don’t get much sleep.
Work at home moms get even less sleep.
So we’re all about the coffee!
You can grab a Starbucks gift card if you’re strapped for time. Or get her a cute mug with a fun boss mom quote on it.
A coffee related gift is always welcome here.
With one of these 5 practical gifts for work at home moms, she’ll be thrilled you’re taking the time to acknowledge her career!
