(Inside: This adorable and fun Halloween memory game free printable is perfect for adding some Halloween fun to your homeschool day! It’s such a simple activity!)

In my mission to become a funner mom this year, I’m finding ways to add more games to our homeschool, and working more Halloween activities into our day. I need them to learn something, but the basis of the activity can be fun.

That gets a bit more challenging when I’m also trying to simplify our homeschool and do most activities together as a whole family.

See, I’m homeschooling kids from 4 to 7 years old, early preschool to 4th grade. Finding one activity that a developmentally delayed preschooler and a gifted fourth grader to do together is no easy task!

Thankfully, with this adorable and fun Halloween memory game free printable I made, we’ve found a way to all have fun and learn at the same time!

See, the key is to find an activity with a very simple premise (like memory) but tweak the learning for each kiddo.

So when Cap’n M is picking, we might talk about what character he’s seeing to help him with his speech delay.

A-Man might have a discussion about the different colors in the cards.

Mr. C might use the cards for some math fun. (How many matches are left? What fraction of the cards have already been taken?)

How to Use Your Fun Halloween Memory Game Free Printable

First you’re going to download and print your Halloween memory game printable. If possible, try to print on cardstock, but you can still do this with regular paper.

Once you’ve downloaded and printed out the Halloween memory game printable, you can laminate it if you want to reuse the cards again and again. (This isn’t required, but it’s definitely recommended!)

Next you’re going to have your kids (Or you can do it if you want straighter lines!) cut out each of the square cards along the black lines. We love using these scissors with paper or cardstock.

Once your cards are ready, let your kids help you mix them all up and place them face down on the table in front of you.

Then everyone gets to take turns selecting and flipping over two cards. If they match, you get to keep them, if they don’t you flip them back over.

Pay attention, though! You definitely want to remember which cards you’ve seen so you can find matches more easily!

When all cards have been matched, the person with the most matches wins!
